This blog is currently hosted on a Google blog platform—blogger—outside of the University of Alberta’s contract with Google for the Google Apps for Education suite of tools. After the full migration of the university community to the Google Apps for Education environment with the required consent, this blog and its content will move into U of A control.
As a result, this blog currently falls outside of the university’s legal agreement with Google. Participants in this blog have the same privacy protection—no more, no less—than they would posting to any other externally-hosted website or blog.
Servers may be located outside of Canada and the content published on those servers could be subject to access under foreign legislation.
